フィリピン有数の私立大学であるサント・トーマス大学で学び、1995年広告業界でキャリアを積むためシンガポールに渡る。絵画への情熱を持ち続け、2020年に本格的に抽象表現主義を始める。
2008年に初来日以降、グラフィックデザインとアートディレクションの経験を活かしながら「和柄 wagara」の表現に取り組んでいる。

Paul is a Filipino-Singaporean visual artist and a former advertising art director. Born in Manila and educated in one of the top private universities in the Philippines, the University of Santo Tomas. Armed with a passion for graphic design, he came to Singapore in 1995 to continue his career in advertising. Never letting go of his passion for painting, he continued in between work and finally decided to go full-time in 2020 and started abstract expressionism. Paul believes in being versatile even within the same genre of art is important, demonstrated in his current pieces of work. As for Japan, his love for the country has grown ever since that first trip in 2008. And what better way to express this than through his art and saw it in ‘wagara’, bringing back the enjoyment of graphic design and art direction.
