Pressed Flower Artist
TAE KAWAGOE
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture
After graduating from school, she worked at a city bank. Later, she got married, gave birth, and raised a child. She started to lose sight of herself as an individual due to the changes in her environment and her busy schedule. Then she discovered pressed flower paintings. She was shocked to see how pressed flowers could be used to create painting-like expressions. She was captivated by the beautiful art, and decided to dive into the world of pressed flowers and continue to pursue its charm. She started working as a pressed flower designer in 2004.
Through "pressed flowers," which give shape to the time and momentary beauty of plants, she continues to create creative works that make both the future and the past cherish. Since 2018, she has also been devoting her energy to advising and supporting the younger generation, new talent, and women's empowerment.
